E2C CONSTRUCTION SKILLS

Education-to-Career (E2C) Construction Skills

Education-to-Career (E2C) Construction Skills is a program that focuses on providing educational and career opportunities in the construction industry. It is designed to help individuals gain the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue successful careers in construction-related fields.

The E2C Construction Skills program typically offers training in various construction trades and skills, such as carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), and more. The program may include a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on training, and practical experience in a construction setting.

The main objective of E2C Construction Skills is to bridge the gap between education and employment by equipping individuals with the skills that are in demand within the construction industry. The program often partners with local trade associations, construction companies, and educational institutions to provide comprehensive training and support.

Participants in the E2C Construction Skills program may have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications or credentials, enhancing their employability and job prospects. The program may also offer assistance with job placement and provide ongoing support for participants as they enter the workforce.

By offering specialized training and connecting individuals with career opportunities in the construction industry, the E2C Construction Skills program aims to address the workforce needs of the construction sector and provide individuals with pathways to meaningful and sustainable careers in construction.

The College of Marin, Canal Alliance, and Marin Builders Association welcome students including our local Marin immigrant community who desire to enter the construction industry.

This Construction Skills Certificate Program is offered throughout the year, running 6-12 weeks. Classes are held during accessible times in the afternoons/evenings and on weekends. Students will prepare for construction and carpentry employment and upon successfully completing the class students will receive a skills certificate. Students will receive additional support in preparing for employment placement.

  • Age: 18+
  • Currently offered 3 - 5 times per year
