Marin Builders Association Workforce Training & Resources
North Bay Construction Corps - Class of Marin addresses the high demand for construction workers in our community. This program enables students to explore a variety of construction-related careers and prepares adults for positions with local Marin Builders Association firms at the end of each class cycle.
This program provides training and career opportunities in the construction industry for young individuals aged 18+. It is designed to introduce high school seniors to the various trades and skills involved in the construction field and prepare them for potential careers in the industry.
The program typically spans several months and includes hands-on training, classroom instruction, and mentorship from industry professionals. Participants learn about different construction trades, safety protocols, basic construction skills, and job site etiquette. They also receive guidance on resume building, job interviews, and workplace professionalism.
The North Bay Construction Corps partners with local construction companies, trade associations, and educational institutions to facilitate the program. These partnerships help ensure that students receive relevant and up-to-date training and potential job placement opportunities upon completion of the program.
The goal of the North Bay Construction Corps is to address the shortage of skilled workers in the construction industry and provide young individuals with viable career options. By offering practical training and exposure to the construction field, the program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue successful careers in the construction trades.
Made possible by the Mario Ghilotti Family Foundation, the Sausalito, and Mission San Rafael Rotary Clubs, the program helps students:
